Investment partners
AKO Foundation was established by Nicolai Tangen i 2013.
The Foundation makes grants towards charities and charitable projects within its three priority areas – to improve education, to promote the arts, and to combat the climate emergency.
The AKO Foundation has been an essential partner in the realization of Kunstsilo . They have invested over NOK 200 million into the construction project.
AKO Kunststiftelse was established in 2013 and is a Norwegian non-profit foundation whose objective is to advance the public’s access to Nordic visual arts from 1900 onwards.
When Kunstsilo opens it will have the right to use the Tangen-collection free of charge and on a perpetual basis, and that the public exhibition of the collection will be in a new museum. The AKO Kunststiftelse has played a major role in financing and execution of the Kunstsilo-project. The AKO Kunststiftelse is financed by AKO Foundation.
