Investment partners
AKO Foundation was established by Nicolai Tangen i 2013.
The Foundation makes grants towards charities and charitable projects within its three priority areas – to improve education, to promote the arts, and to combat the climate emergency.
The AKO Foundation has been an essential partner in the realization of Kunstsilo . They have invested over NOK 200 million into the construction project.
AKO Kunststiftelse was established in 2016 with the aim to collect, purchase, and make art accessible to the public.
Kunstsilo has been granted perpetual rights to manage the Tangen Collection, which is the world’s largest collection of Nordic modernism.
AKO Kunststiftelse has played a significant role in financing and implementing the Kunstsilo project. It is funded by donations from the AKO Foundation.
